Description:
Juanita Bay Park has embarked in an on-going restoration project focuses on improving wildlife habitat in extensive wetland and forest complex at the park. Volunteers are needed to help in this process in removing invasive plants, to allow the sustainability and growth of native plants that will also be planted, in an effort to reclaim the natural beauty and usefulness of this area for current and future generations of people and animals.
A group of students from the University of Washington Bothell Business School and concerned global citizens, we have decided to coordinate and complete a community service project to aid in this process. We need YOU to make this project a success and help profess our love of the local environment with the burning of calories (exactly what we need to enjoy our Thanksgiving meal guilt-free). We studious (and very attractive) academics only ask a few hours of your time and supportive energy. After a hard day’s work, we will have a post-work celebration at the neighboring Brickhouse Pub, offerings discounted food and beverages for all who lend their support to this cause. Plan to have a great time (especially at the post-work party) while making a huge impact in the preservation of this local natural habitat for our community. We hope to see you there!
